Maple-Brown Abbott is a privately owned investment management company specialising in the management of Australian and Asia Pacific ex-Japan equity portfolios, for corporations, institutions, industry and corporate superannuation funds, charities and high net worth individuals. We also manage a number of balanced portfolios with exposure to Australian and international equities, Australian fixed interest, listed property, cash and alternative asset classes. Funds under management as at 30 June 2010 are in excess of AUD$11.5 billion invested by our publicly available trusts and discrete wholesale mandates.
The company was established in 1984 and is wholly owned by the founders, directors and staff. We are one of the most established investment management firms in Australia and we place significant emphasis on retaining our heritage as a true boutique, facilitating both flexible decision making and a strong alignment of interest with our clients. Based in Sydney, we have a staff of 40 of which 17 are dedicated investment professionals.
Maple-Brown Abbott Funds PLC, based in Ireland, was established in 2007 and offers UCITS funds investing in Australian and Asia Pacific ex-Japan equities.
